Indonesia faces diverse climate and environmental issues influenced by its geography, ecosystems, and socio-economic conditions. Governance inefficiencies, poor coordination, and regulatory uncertainty hinder progress towards climate targets. Despite this, Indonesia is making strides in establishing robust climate governance and facilitating sectoral transitions to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030, with ambitious emission reduction goals of 31.89% unassisted or 43.2% with international support.
In response to rising optimism around climate issues, our scoping study and advisory service aim to map Indonesia's climate actors and develop a strategic document for the Climate Catalyst to support significant climate initiatives.
