The training utilized the foresight method, a strategic planning approach that enables decision-makers to anticipate future trends, identify challenges, and develop long-term, evidence-based policies. By applying foresight, district governments can craft adaptive and
resilient development strategies, ensuring sustainability amid evolving socio-economic and environmental conditions.

CII’s presentation on the green and restorative economy highlighted the importance of nature-based solutions, circular economy principles, and inclusive growth. Participants were encouraged to explore innovative financing mechanisms, community-driven initiatives, and policy frameworks that support sustainability at the local level.

By participating in this event, CII reaffirmed its commitment to fostering sustainable economic transitions in Indonesia. The collaboration with LTKL and district governments reflects a shared vision for achieving balanced development that protects critical ecosystems, improves community livelihoods, and strengthens local governance.
