Guideline Book
for Renewable Energy Investment in Indonesia

Indonesia, the highest energy consumer among ASEAN countries, faces significant energy consumption growth driven by economic and population expansion (IRENA, 2023). To address this, the government aims to increase renewable energy in the national mix to 23% by 2025 and 31% by 2050.

Achieving these targets requires substantial domestic and international investment in renewable energy infrastructure, technology, and projects. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, particularly the Directorate of Europe II, requires a guide to assist investors and stakeholders interested in Indonesia's renewable energy sector.
